Rock Factoid: The fire erupted while headliner Great White was performing their set (note the flames just beginning to appear). The catastrophe was the fourth-deadliest nightclub fire in U.S. history, killing 100 people and injuring more than 200.

Ninety-six died on the night of the fire, including Great White lead guitarist Ty Longley. Four others later died from their injuries.
