Courtney Love Wants Scarlett Johansson To Play Her, Ryan Gosling To Play Kurt Cobain In Grunge Biopic?

 

The always-unreliable British press is reporting that Courtney Love wants Scarlett Johansson to play her in the the upcoming Kurt Cobain biopic that she is executive producing.
And apparently she's eyeing Canadian actor Ryan Gosling to play Kurt Cobain in a film that is apparently being budgeted at $58 million (£30 million) according to The Mirror.
What happened to James McAvoy? The "Atonement" star was apparently the original pick to play Cobain, but there's no mention of him in the Mirror article. But it was a pretty unsubstantiated rumor to begin with.

But whatever, take all of this with a grain of salt as the British press are about as accurate as Helen Keller at a driving range.
A likely bullshit source that the Mirror calls a "good friend" says that Kirsten Dunst was originally in the picture, but that Love really admired Scarjo.

"Courtney even copied Scarlett's sleek blonde movie look when she was in London for the Fashion Rocks party last year. This is a labour of love for Courtney and she is putting her heart and soul into making it an accurate, credible glimpse of her life with Kurt," the source said.

Her friend adds: "She wants the best actors to portray them - she will be on set all the time giving Scarlett and Ryan advice on what it was like being one part of the most notorious couples since Sid and Nancy. It will be explosive."
