No Doubt she's missing scruffy bed hair! Gwen Stefani summons bee-stung pout over ultra-styled peroxide locks

Having taken a career hiatus to focus on motherhood, Gwen Stefani has become accustomed to running around parks and shooting down slides in her sweats with sons Kingston and Zuma.
However, the queen of tomboy chic looked preened and polished today for her band comeback.
And there is no doubt, judging from her expression, that the mother-of-two was feeling a little out of sorts with the ultra feminine ensemble a stylist appeared to have picked out for her.

Gwen was spied outside of her New York hotel today waiting for a taxi, with her trademark peroxide hair - usually bundled on top of her head in a messy bun - slicked down the right side of her face.

 

The blonde mane appeared to have had hours under the straightening irons to embellish a sleek razor cut look that had been sculpted into a gelled side-parting.

And now she is back to the day job, long gone are the white tank singlets and androgynous fedoras.
Instead, Gwen was dressed head-to-toe in leopard print, doing her best Scary Spice impression.

No Doubt are currently embarking on an epic comeback after an 11 year break, performing for the first time together in over a decade last Sunday at the Teen Choice Awards in Los Angeles.
It seems Lady Gaga is a huge fan of the new material, notably comeback track Settle Down.
Proud Gwen retweeted a message from the Bad Romance star, saying: 'I DONT (sic) CARE WHAT ANYONE SAYS I'm obsessed with "Settle Down" anybody that disagrees is wrong. no this is not an interscope plug, I'm a fan.'
The Sweet Escape songbird described her return to radio as 'nonstop ear candy'.
